Hello :D
Today we used an Asus P5WDH with a Core2 Extreme X6800 but the wall was at 4.9 GHz :( After that we were used a Core2 Quad QX6700 (ES)...

First boot...default with LN2
2nd boot 266x13
3rd boot 280x15

....last boot 268MHz x 18

A screen of the 3th boot:

4950 MHz...

5015 MHz...

We were running (and closed :D) the Super PI 1 M test..but Capture saved a wrong file...is corrupted :slapass:

A crazy foto of setup :toast:

Configuration:
-Asus P5WDH fullmod by Zilla
-Core2 Quad QX6700 (4 cores active) @ about 1.90V
-CellShock 800

Official thread and some hard photos :p: : http://www.hwstation.net/forum/leggi-topic-385-12.html

Great :)

Seems that only p5b dlx is great with quad + high fsb

At the Abit event I hit 5015Mhz as the stop speed and hit 10.562s in 1M pi as well

A little less speed but the same time.

Grats on the quad 5Ghz club, nice stuff.

only 280 fsb. 18x multi. why no cpu-z ? with clocks like that i would want a link. highest cpu-z is the 4.2 run.

I tried with the p5b dlx @ water but the multiplier is locked at 10x :( and after 400 mhz FSB the performances are less :P Because that we uesd tha p5wdh :D

For the moment no...I have to write all home work for the school :slapass: :D
About your questions...

At 5015 MHz the system was up for a SuperPI 1 M session + screen :p:

Ha have the vcore (+0.2V), vmch (+0.25V) and vdimm(+0,25V) mods

A nice config ;)

SuperPi will never be as fast on quads. Run something that the quad is good at, like Cinebench, Per favore.

Delex
01-05-2007, 04:36 AM
Yes :) Have you some generic tweaks for the Core2 dUO/qUAD CPU? Only for starting :)

fresh install of win, close all process you don't need, set priority to superpi to real time, close explorer.exe(sometimes helps):)

:stick: No joke... :) Let the Windows XP theme enable in order to drop the load of graphic application away from the C2D CPU.
