Been messing around with my dothan chip again finally took it of air cooling and onto passive water and i got a nice boost in speed and broke my old record.

Best thing is the total silence, tempted to stick it on phase now tho as it really likes the cold :)

P.s dont flame my tubing its all i had lying about :(
I must buy more and clean up the build.

Push it a little more, i want to see a 100% OC. Great job though.

Maybe im stupid but i dont see any pictures of your setup or the above mentioned tubing.

Sorry i deleted it by mistake when i edited the post.
here is the photo
I want over 100% too, i'm gonna keep tinkering at it Dig out some 120mm fans and stick it next to a window maybe 3am here nice and cool outside 8 oc room temp is around 20 oc

Just out of curiosity what mixture are you using in your water loop?

Take those 90 degree elbows out of your loop and the added cooling power will allow you to achieve the needed 50Mhz of OC to take you too 100% OC

On a more serious note, elbows aren't cool and are only needed in a few very rare situations.

That was all the bits i had left in my water cooling spares box (i know that the elbows are flow killers) hence the need to buy new tubing and some fittings ect. Started making copper fittings to replace the loads of joined up bit's of tygon.

As for my water mixture its 1:10 water wetter with some orange beach for cleaning. Its still getting rid of air in the system, hence its still cloudy.

Just tested it on pcmark 04 and its ranked in top ten :woot:

Not to sound like a jerk or anything but im pretty sure you could go to your local hardware store and find straight 1/2" fittings barbed on both sides for roughly $0.50. Im pretty sure if you are anything like me you could dig the money needed for a few of those out of the seats in your car. On a lighter note i definatly like what you have going on here and cant wait to see that 100% OC.

congrats -Acid- ,, how did you pass dothan freezing point or 2742 is your point?
my 730 does this (http://img441.imageshack.us/img441/3263/12sadothanprimevb2.jpg) but higher than 2.6ghz whatever multiplier, vcore or fsb is , it freezes,, i had moded ct adaptor but nothing changed..

You have many processes. I have near 60mb. Release half. It's not important, but all the same :)

i was showing its a daily rig and not a ln2 phase trailer park queen lol

My freezing point hey was 2630, but kept messing about with it made a new cpu mount (getting much better cpu contact) yet to mod the adaptor (early dothans like more voltage than the asus adaptor allows so more gains to be made i think still) make sure you chip is getting a very clean power supply and try to have as little droop as possible.

I,m even thinking of soldering the adaptor lines straight into the psu for an even cleaner line as it having to do 2 jumps (2 connectors to asus adaptor) it might make little difference but every little tweak adds up to a big change (i hope).

Most people found that 1.55 volts is a sweet spot for dothans ( i can get the same speed at 1.6v so the adaptor must be limiting the volts the chip is getting) if i jump one fsb now to 197 fsb it crashes but its fully stable at 196 ( old limit was 191).

If i work out a good phase clamp and solve the condesation issues i recon it will go to 3ghz plus.

Hey have you hit a FSB wall can you do the same fsb regardless of multi used

edit just reread your post :( how is your cpu to hs contact is your mobo voltage rails jumping

today , i have tried vapochill ls,, it made 2.8ghz spi1m ,,nothing more,,i guess this chip is trash..:D
