Oblivion Help

This is about the side-quest where you have to defeat umbra and get her jet-black sword. I killed her when I was level 13, but since I was under level 20, I couldn't get the sword. Now that I'm level 20, I want to do the quest, but the arrow that tells you where to go leads me to the place where I killed her and the sword isn't there. Her body also appears to have vanished (it's not there anymore). Does this mean that I can't get her sword? I've tried looking around the area and I don't see it anywhere.:(

Also, how does this sword compare to the goldbrand sword (which I have)?

iirc umbra is one of the most powerful swords in the game. If you really want it though you could always generate it with player.additem cheat :D

Umbra isn't much... try the "Ebony Blade" I believe it is a kitana, and one handed, very powerful, and fast attack.

Your only hope is the player.additem like johnanderson said - here's what you put in to the console:

player.additem 00026B1B 1

I haven't compared the sword to other ones, I got it when I was level ~10 and until you complete the quest it is weightless - that's a big reason why its so good. Once you go back to the shrine to finish the quest you can choose to keep the sword, and then its weight goes to 40 something. I kept it and still use it cause I don't like change :rolleyes:.

it does the most raw damage yes, you can easily make better swords through enchantments though. Hell even goldbran with its extra 22 fire dmg is better overall as long as you keep it charged.

Umbra is grt but i didnt use it much. It didnt fit my fighting and char style, still kept it with me cause its weightless.

So depends on what ur char is and what you urself prefer.

did love the armor Umbra was wearing :) it completed my Ebony set.
:( couldnt even carry all of the loot out of there.

Now I miss Oblivion since my desktop is still down. Does anyone know about the portion of the game where you come upon some giant red demon in a town somewhere after a portal to Oblivion opens up? I saw some thing on Youtube about killing it with a console command since it's immortal otherwise, but I have no idea what it's called.
