Well, I'm in a bit of a pinch here...
I can get the ol' but trusty Warhammer 40k: Dawn of War, with both expansions, for the same price as Company of Heroes, both of which are excellent RTSs... I've played my bit of Dawn of War plain (no XP-packs), but never played CoH... What would you recommend if I said I'm a tabletop Warhammer gamer???

Best Regards :toast:

Well I have to say, I've played both, CoH is an amazing game, better than DoW, so based on gaming experience I'd say that. Taking into account the fact that you play a lot of table top games, maybe this would be a good change? I guess only you can decide!

am I the only person that hates CoH?

Anytime I want them to get behind the cover they always find a way to :banana::banana::banana: it up. even moreso when they give me retarded spots to choose from. I always have to have 1 guy sticking out etc. like if I build 1 large wall of barricades there's still somebody not in cover... ugh!

Also I thought I was good at micro managing usually. Maybe because it's only my 1st time but the fact that it's basically like this.

Anti tank>Tank>anything else>Anti tank. Yea your rifleman can get sticky bombs but they are still weak as hell.

Course their is air but that's rare.

Sorry for dragging this up i gess this topic is a good few days old but man what a game! I been playing CoH solidly for agers, it aint your standard my army is bigger and i will kill you oh no, even if you have the smallest of army's you can seriously punnish the enemy, cover plays extremely important roles in the game as in other games its just stand and shoot, man sorry im realy addicted at the mo, i thought it was like any other RTS but man its much more complex, tbh despite graphics C&C3 will come no where close to the game play of CoH (all IMO). So i leave you with a pic, man cows are good cover!
