Celeron 2.0 or P4 1.6A, what's the choice?

Hi guys, i haven't been surfing around xtreme lately, been bz with campus stuffs. ;)

Anywayz, would like to know the opinion about the above mentioned chips. Which would be a better performer overally?

Well, i've got the Abit BH7 paired with my P41.6A now together with 2x 256MB HyperX 3200. My question is that, would it be better if i stick with my P41.6A @ 2.4GHz or sell the P4 and get a Celeron 2GHz to get it overclocked to an estimated 3.0GHz?

This PC is basically for some gaming, surfing, and does F@H all day long. So what's the chip to go with?

The celery was only produced by Intel to appeal to the average consumer as a cheap processor for the mass manufacturers to have the ability to market a so-called 2.0ghz system for dirt cheap. but in reality, those chips aren't worth a sh*t! you do get the proclaimed "mhz" out of them, but real life functionality just isn't there. They do not make good chips for gaming, much less anything else. they're basically only good for lowend computing and the marketing purposes. Your P4 would out compute it even if the celery was overclocked and the p4 wasn't:rolleyes: :p

Anywayz, u sure even a stock P41.6A could be way faster in real life than a 3GHz Celeron? Wow... and i alwiz thought that a 3GHz Celeron was cool. :rolleyes:

BTW, how about the comparison of the normal P41.6 non-A, the old willamitte(not too sure about the spelling) compare to a Celly @ 3GHz then?
