Ram and motherboard for AMD XP proccies :smileysex:
I know Abit NF7-S rev2.0 is good, but is it the best?
most would say yes, the 8RDA+ is also very good, the 8RDA3+ is comnig out soon, Epox's equivalent to the NF7-S rev2.0

the NF7 does seem to be out producing most all the others on the acclaimed benchmarking sites. All you have to do is go browse those types of places (ie: 3dmark, pcmark, etc...) and also read up on what seems to be the favorite on different forums boards like ours and you'll get the idea.

And for the ram? =]
I'll go with a fully modded nf7s rev 2.0 (or a later, IF they'll ever make one :D )

got search? :)
anyway, I would say NF7-S v2 and TwinMOS RAM with winbond BH-5 chips. corsair XMS3500C2 and kingstong HyperX 3500 also work well

Will milk do?
Between the twinnies, kingstons and corsair, whats the BEST and the ones that runs the most stable @ VERRY high FSB (270+)

they all are going to be about the same, but I would say winmos/winbond BH-5s

I thought you said that already;)
I would say Twinmos (winbond) would be a decent choice. Just leave the milk out;) :p

I keep seeing good things about the Abit 2.0 board but after reading this review
http://www.digital-daily.com/motherboard/epox-8rda3+/
I like what Epox did w/ their board.

Just a shame Epox ain't using the MCP-T chipset, so u don't get firewire and SoundStorm, wihhc is a shame.
Plus they are STILL using a passive heatsink for some reason and you can't use Line in/Microphone with a 5.1 setup and there is no SP-DIF output :(

Then theres 8RGA+ or 8RDA+, + spdif-card. An 8rda+ with A1 northbridge stepping should clock good, 8RGA+(but is there any new NB reversion to this?) has vdd adjustment, but both of the boards has no sata. But how wants Silicon Image SATA, it sucks works better know with drivers fixed, but still...
btw rda3+ has firewire, atleast acording to epox themself.

Yes...I just bought one:D.Isn't that the same one as v2.0 NF7-S? If so there may be a problem with Kingston ram.

v2.0 has a completely new style of NB. The old style is the familiar a1-a3.
The ABIT v2 is the best, the rda3+ looks good for overclocking but not for anything else.
Memwise, I would go for HyperX, Twin 3200 BH-5 (the 3700 goes high but hate timings tight), or OCZ 3500el if you want to take a chance.
