View Full Version : best performance,saphire x1900gt or evga7900gs

ok guys i was looking at going with either an evga7900gs or the saphirex1900gt when i start ordering my new pc parts later this year.The new pc will be mainly for gaming.resolution will either be 1440x900,1680x1050 or just 1280x1024 depending on what monitor i go with.Just wanna know someopinions on which of the cards would have the best fps especially for oblivion and fear.

X1900GT for Oblivion. Not sure on fear but I think it's close. Think X1900Gt is better at higher res'. Anyway you bench?

X1900GT for all. I went from an X1900GT to a 7900GS a while, while back. Regretted it.

Oblivion no doubt only an ATI card or Geforce 8800 can play.

why not X1950PRO? little bit cooler + new CrossFire and better cooling by default

Because it's around $200 whereas the X1900GT is around 3%-9% slower for $50 less. I got it for $65 less.
