Pal..ntsc, latinamerica, europe..too complicated XD

Hi, Actually Im living in Germany, but a relative from Chile is going to sends me a few DVDs, and I would like to now if its matters "the formats" to watch de DVD on a DVD player..or are they "multi-zone". I know that in the pc it can be changed, but in a DVD player?

Elcheapo dvd players are multizone...here in latin america we use Zone 4.
Some dvd players(like pioneer's ,sony's and alikes) let you change zones a couple of times i think.

Camilo, no matter what kind of dvd zone a DVD disc is, because most of DVD players are multizone kind.

it depends on the DVD player, most players are NTSC multi zone so they dont work as Pal-ntsc multizone or at least they only read pal or ntsc but they dont convert the signal to the PAL TV.

That is why i got a Marantz that is multi zone and also converts the format to which TV you got.
