The title pretty much says it all. After reading reviews on the Aopen i975 offering, I am scared away from using one of them to replace my 3.2Ghz Prescott. Are there any other motherboards which support the 479 socket and are full ATX with overclocking features. I fear not, as searching has only resulted in mATX offerings. However, I figured it was worth an ask.

If not, then is my best bet to offload these to the laptop crowd in exchange for a nice Conroe chip? My current laptop already is loaded with a T2600, so I don't need them for me unless I can find a sutable board!

Thanks!

You should bench/orthos them both to 3.8ghz on air and then sell them here or ebay with screen shots, lol! Are they e6600 or e6700's

The aopen board is pretty decent. I still have my T2600es and Aopen/7900gtx rig, and It can do about ~2900 prime and ~3100 benching on an unmodded board.

From what I understand the mods are kinda easy, so I would not hesitate to pick the Aopen board up :)

you should just build a media center PC with the ASUS matx skt 479.
