ASUS p5b ide light... needed help.

I have a asus p5b mobo, 541 processor, 512mb ram, samsung 40gb pata hdd, xfx 7600gt gpu. 400w psu. My ide light is glowing(dull) even when the system is idle. it glows bright when the harddisk is accessed. but wasnt the light supposed to be off, when the system is idle? is something wrong with my mobo , or psu. somebody please help

you mean the hard drive led in the cabinet? (which shows when the drive is being accessed)??

If this is it then just recheck the HDD Led wire going to the motherboard from your cabinet you must have not fixed it the right way ;)
