Zhone 6212 modem with 4 ports router

Hello. ive just got my new connection. and with the connection i got the adsl router/modem. is there any one that can help me forward the ports for counter strike. i have realy high ping after getting my connection. before i had around 9 ping with my old 4mbit connection. now i got my new connection. its 11mbit. and my ping is around 30. on the same server. i know from before that i got loads higher ping with a router. with my old router i had around 50 ping on a server. and when i took it away i got around 20 ping. on the same server. with only the modem. any one here that can help me opening the ports on my router ?
