I just got a PCP&C 750 PSU and the damn 8pin CPU power plug is around 7 inches short reaching the motherboard. Would it be OK for me to extend each one of those 8 wires? Would soldiering be the best way to make the connection, or could crimp caps be used? I want to to this the best way possible to eliminate any kind of voltage loss. Im going to extend the wires to 8 inches each, so I would think this would cause any kind of instability, would you? MY last question is this: The wires on this PSU are 18Gauge, and the only wire I have here that is yellow and black is 16Guage, is this going to create a problem? Using 2 different gauge wires.. Thanks everyone. Im standing by for the go ahead, as I have all tools ready to go, just want to make sure this isnt going to hurt an OC, or limit any kind of voltage going to the cpu/motherboard.

therer will be some extra noise at the interconnect points, but nothing too bad, as long as the contact is good.

16 guage will probs be ok
