So, I just purchased a Mach II GT with a 775 mounting kit. But the kit doesn't quite fit on the P5B Deluxe that I have.

I'm hoping someone has some suggestions that I can do without voiding the warranty on the motherboard. Or maybe someone has already had this problem mounting their own Mach II GT on a P5B Deluxe.
I was thinking maybe I can mod the mounting kit a little or take the top off the CPU retention bracket and replace it with a custom one, but I have no experience with phase-change so I'm not really sure what the best way is.

Here are some pics that I took.

The red arrow is the part that I think is getting in the way. But the hinges look like they might get in the way also.

Pic to show that it's not mounting flat.

I tried to show how much it wiggles up and down, but it doesn't show very well. Look at the red circled area.

Cant you just bend the thing on the bracket in first pic down a little? Its a tight fit but i didnt have the problem you have.

Ya, I think I might try that. I'm just waiting for my PSU to arrive, so that I can check that everything is working, before I start modding stuff.

Another solution would be to toss on a new/better evap head, regas it, and throw on a new mounting system. =)

Ya, I like that solution, but it's expensive:(

Not really, maybe $300 all said and done?

I have just used a file to remove the portion of the middle plastic leg that is causing the problem - this enables the surround to sit flat against the board

PSU got here, however even after flashing to the latest BIOS my P5B Deluxe coldboots every time I restart after changing stuff in the BIOS. Is there a fix for this, or do I just need to do all my overclocking while running the Mach II off a separate PSU and then connect it after all my settings are stable?

Add a "delay-on-break" timer to delay restarts.

I did this before. The only way i can figure is i took the lid off and the grease held the chip in when i used my mach II
