Has anyone else tested these chips ???? Are they any good ???? If not i will send it back !
Still waiting for my MSI Neo mobo - so i cannot test it at the moment

heard they do 4ghz on default voltage and air cooling

saaya, that was a joke I guess? :D
I guess the SL6WK Malay is the only version of 3.00G available right now.
If you manage to get it past 3.6GHz aircooled using default voltage then you have an excellent chip :) (mine did around 3550MHz)

LOL - 4Ghz on air would be very nice :D
Ive got a prommie mach2 comming to cool this baby down - but no mobo to test on air yet - im really hoping that this chip is good - i wish somebody knew :(
I cant spend £350 notes on a crap chip - just got rid of my amd system to buy this - gutted if its crap !!!

oops sorry :D the review i saw was about an 2.4c that could be oced to 3ghz on air and def voltage...
if your board can take a high fsb sell that 3ghz chip and get the 2.4c . they oc about the same it seems, but youll have a higher fsb with the 2.4c at the same speed=more performence...

these are not amds batch codes and #s mean next to nothing with intel chips.
Look for a fresh one thats youre best bet.

To my knowledge, that is correct, so I guess we couldn't recommend any other sSpec besides that one :D .
That should do you pretty good, just stay away from Philippines :(

Salamanzer,
YES! They're good chips, don't worry. It's luck of the draw and will rely heavy on your equipment. And your equipment sounds top notch.

You have the same odds as anybody else at getting 4ghz it's all basically luck or drastic cooling measures with oodles of voltage.
Anybody tells ya different there lying to ya;)
Each chip is different.
There all from Malay "The 800fsb ones"
I have 2 here that are in series boxed on same day one after the other.
One will do 4250mhz One wont do 4ghz to save its life.
There is no possible way to tell anybody what a chip will do with out testing it first. Using the same equipment that youre using.
And i mean the exact same. Not 2 different motherboards like trying 2 ic7's.
It would have to be on the one you were going to buy.

salamanzer, that chip is garbage, just throw it in a envelope and send it to me, you'll be doing yourself a favor;)
As far as I've seen, there's only the 2.4 and 3.0 witht the 800mhz setup. Enjoy that little sucka:D

thanx tweaked :D
im hoping it will be better than my last AMD setup - got to a massive 3.1GHz and the chip died from over-volting - i was gutted - my next chip only managed 2.8GHz :(
As soon as the mobo and prommie mach 2 turn up i will post up some specs - oh and where can i buy bios chips for the Abit NF7-S V2.0 - the bios seems to have died and i cant sell it !!!!
4Ghz+ here i come (hopefully!!!)
Jason
PS - my gpu is a really bad oc'er - any ideas - will not run very much over stock at default voltages :(--> ATI Saphire 9800 Pro its really limiting my 3DMark 2001 score :smileysex
