Yes guys its all good now. i set up my system today in less then 5 hours!
took me about 2 hours to figure out what was wrong when computer did not respond to me pushing the power button. Now its running very well. Seems that i had to switch some power connectors for my radeon 9800 and my mcw50-t. I thought the pelt. would have been the culprit for me not booting up.
heres my specs:
3ghz 800mhz fsb ( got on friday)
abit ic7-g
wd400jb at the moment( serielle 2 adapter comes in on tuesday and will be using 2 brand new wd400jb with it)
prometeia
Connect3d Radeon 9800 pro ( thanks Pedro for the nice benchies)
TTGI 520ss
Liteon 52x cdrw
Pioneer dvr-a04
Well i took lots of pics and now its getting late 1:30 am so ill post them up tommorrow. ANd im downloading the 3d mark and seee what scores i get with pelted connect3d. This is what i was eager to look into.
Ill do more burn in with sisoft sandra and prime95 before i do any OCing.
Currently prometeia temp is -32c.
See ya tommorrow guys!!

OK guys just got up at 8:30 today. Took a piss and turned up the computer. Pretty fast boot up.
Oh almost forgot to mention my ram:
OCZ EL DDR PC-3500 Dual Channel
One thing about fitting the compressor head into the position of the socket, was that i had to use some good force to twist it 90 degrees so that the compressor could fit in. AT first i was reallly scared of cracking the evaporator but i just did it anyway.
My Swiftech MCW50-t begin leaking water onto my nic card, good i saw it and it was able to be saved. NOw i have hose clamps on it.
Right now im finishing dl 3dmark03 and other benchie software.
Will take time and ill be watching the Devils vs. Senators on TV while burning in! GO Devs!

OK guys i have benchies to show. Sorry but i dont have wsftp so i cant upload to my ftp server so ill just have to post them.
I can do 3982 mhz very stable at 265fsb. I want to reach the magic 4 ghz mark but ive tried adding volatge to 1.75 v but when i burn in on sisoft sandra it locks up. i have it at 5:4 divider. Dont know what the N/B strap is for, would be helpful if somone shed some light on it.
The 3d mark scores are no tweaking or any mods in bios or the clockfrequencies. I am focusing on the OCing the cpu first tghen i move onto the other componenets.
I really like this board now. Very stable and Much better then my old Gigabyte 8INXP( bad buying decision).
Prommie is at -26c right now. Winbond cpu temp is 4c.
I have a question, i see i have low rails now and for the TTGI-520SS, do i turn the pot right or left to get a better voltages?
Gamer is able to reach 4125 stable :)
idle temps of -31°C :o

i know he must have had some r404a in the prommie and he has an asus p4c800. I just ahve a regular prommie. But ijust need like freakin 2 mhz fsb to get to 4 ghz.

but u know those crazy japs have all the proper tools to be number #1 in the world. Im just a small time overclocker. I mean what is the n/b strap for anyways? well it help me get to 4 ghz?

NYC,
Actually he used LN2, so it's even less relevant ;)
However your rig is coming along QUITE nicely.
And can run 24/7 and play games, too.

As far as n/b strap, I don't think it'll help.
On My iC7 I played with it and it had to be set the same as the cpu...in my case 533.
In your situation, I'd think:
1) Bump your TTGI520 pot...get like 5.10/12.30/3.40 loaded readings
2) Check and possibly cool NB better...
3) Mount some HS on yer mobo mosfet's
4) Run Prime95 24/7 for several days to loosen up the cpu a bit..
5)I'm sur you'll get 4gHz

I dont know about 24/7, but i have done prime95 and sisoft burn in for 4 hours now and everything is good at 3984 mhz.
And my serille2 adapter is is coming in tommorrow so i should have raid by then.

i have good news not related to this topic. But i had a DOA Hercules radeon 9700 pro and i RMAed it and i didnt have the receipt so i made a fake invoice for it. ANd it was a really fake looking invoice too. And a few weeks later when they recieved it and the emailed me that they couldnt accept the invoice because it is a fake.
I was very worried by then and thought that i could never get card back. I mean u could just send it back to me and ill rip the heatsinks off for my radeon 9800 pro. But today i got an emai l saying that they sent a replacement to me and a tracking number was supplied. That was great news and just wanted to share.

It seems me that the temperature is too high with only 1.5V !!
These is my 3.06-IT7 and regular Prommy. With 1.8v vcore!!!
http://space.virgilio.it/tiziano.guglielmi@tin.it/IMG/cpu%204056.gif
It is correct the diodo that points out the temperature of the IC7?
What is the problem? -16 looks pretty good to me.
My 2.4 @ 3.1 shows -21 when idle.
So maybe a liitle difference between boards, but nothing really strange about your temps, I think.

I did not want to say than they are good the mine -16 with prometeia!
I wanted to say that 4.5° of NyCUndaGrounD seems myself a temperature too high for prometeia with alone 1.5v of vcore. Perhaps a bad contact between' prometeia and cpu or perhaps the diodo of the temp of the IC7 points out badly the temperature
You excuse the bad English

LOL, I'm sorry. Yes you are right. Your temperatures are fine.
NyCUndaGrounD's temperatures are too high.
You are 100% correct, forgive me. English is also not my home language :D :toast:
