so heres the thing, working on a clients comp, I open IE and msn is the homepage, but the backround of the ie window stays white and many of the icons dont load, dont give x's or anything, but for instance i dont see msns logo at all, it just doenst show up. i boot safe mode with networking and get the same thing under the users account, but under admin account it works fine. whats wrong here?

you don't have a problem with IE, IE is the problem.

please....it isnt my computer. i need help solving this. I have had the same response to people before too, but i need help. i have firefox on all 4 of my familys computers, so please dont tell me useless information. I need this fixed.

you said it didn't ask about active x, so hmmm, not sure. java? i highly doubt that has anything to do with it.
sorry no clue.
is there a possibility to install FF or the like on it?

Try applying the Defaults in Internet Options/Security tab & Reset/Advanced tab when logged on as the trouble account then re-boot.

'Reset all zones' to Default Level (IE7) also no good? Is this 'Client' a domain member?

Yeah client as in part of a network with a domain controller. You said this was a clients PC so just checking.

i had it on my wireless network. and like i said in safe mode under the 'paul' account it was the same result, yet under the admin account it was perfect. by client i meant im working on the computer for someone.

Do you have any AD-Block integrated in IE? - and what version of IE do you have? - cause mine works fine and I have no Java installed - just flash, I'm using IE 7.0 Build 5730.11.
Uninstall IE - install the version above and set all to default.
