hey, im buying a new comp in january, but im thinking of getting a pre-built one, as i havent a clue about building a pc (although i have of course upgraded past pre-builds etc)

http://www.meshcomputers.com/Default.aspx?PAGE=PRODUCTCONFIGPAGE&USG=PRODUCT&ENT=PRODUCT&KEY=116897

was wondering if this is alright. i configured it to cost £ 802.13inc VAT (without monitor, speakers, keyboard)

should i go with another manufacturer for pre-builds? dell.co.uk? scan.co.uk?

or should i try to build my own (cheaper i know, but i have no past experience on making one!)

edit: my MAX is £1,200. (would like it around 1,000 though). i also need to get some beyerdynamic headphones, and an x-meridian sound card.

if you want to get a pre built go with a dell. but i would highly recommend making your own.

I'll 2nd what Hipno said. Build your own. There is nothing so satisfying as knowing the machinery you us was put together by yourself.
Doesn't have to be a one day project and patience is the key.
Think it out, try and research the parts so that you know they will work well together, price it out and take your time assembling.
The hours you take to build it will be nothing compared to the time you use it.
Use top parts and they will last. Good quality PSU and Motherboard are the keys, then good cooling. Get a case that will use 120mm fans vs the 80mm.
Runs quieter that way. The key is planning..Good Luck!:toast:
