First let me say YES i do have the pc version of the xbox 360 controller and YES i have the software installed. My problem is, is that it will not calibrate properly. I went into the control panel settings and went to "game controllers" window and it still would not function properly.
I do not know what to do and i'm about to throw the controller off the 24th floor of my condo.
Thanks in advance.

It won't matter whether its labeled as the "PC version" or not because its the same one they package with the system.
What exactly is it doing? Tried uninstalling/reinstalling the driver? Unplug/replug the USB cable?

Try this:
uninstall the software
unplug the controller
re-install the software
turn off pc
plug in controller and power up
The manual says to install the software before plugging in the controller, so that could be the problem.

You don't need SP2, I'm only running SP1

No, it means s*** out of luck ;)
I'd try installing SP2. Who runs SP1 anyway? ;)
