Thats a pretty decent oc for a 1800+ :)
Have you tried cranking up the voltage a bit higher yet?

Yeah, that's a very nice OC at 1.68v, but CRANK UP THE VOLTAGE and see where she'll go! :D

that is very nice indeed. my older Tbred B XP1800 isn't nearly as good of a chip.
the 1800+s are possbily gonna be the new 1700+ :D good chips and thats a nice OC

i' gonna try 1.85v and 2500, so if it's gonna be stable ok, but the temps are so high that i don't even have the guts to try anything higher... and i stick to fsb200 , so i won't have any bios coruption, seems it only hapens when you change your fsb so i'm only changing my multi. gonna poast again later today :)

... like i said, does prime 2500@1.85v but craps out becouse of the high temps... goes up to 66C then windows lock up...dam, have to get that water cooling soon , i just have to see what this chip can do :)
question how much better is the slk900 over the vulcano7+? is it worth it?i think i can get better results whit a decent cooler like the slk :)

Yes the SLK900 will be soooo much better than the volcano7+ as it has more copper to get rid of the hit and will take 92CFM fans :)
Did you say you are gettng watercooling??

yes i'm going to try to build something of my own:rolleyes: , going to try to get some used car radiator and a cheap 1000l/h pump and get the cpu block from a friend for peanuts... but thats going to take a while so i need something better for now...
btw the xp1600 tb-b's are probabli going to be a piece of crap, from what i've heard they are going to be rejects cpus that don't manage higher speeds like xp2000+ or something like that...

If so, i agree but honestly i doubt it cause amd has been manufacturing the tbredB for a while and the number of rejection is very low. We'll have to wait and see

spose, specially as this 1700 isnt evben pushed yet due to cooling....havent even raised voltage yet but i need better graphics card before betetr cooling, this mX440 sucks! :(

i just got a hercules 8500le a few day's ago... going to go extreme whit this one... volt mod's and every thing i can think of :)
i remember when those 8500s came out, they were awesome, hoep you have luck with it!

i get 11400 3dmarks... i guess the voltmod is going to happen soon... realy need cooling for my cpu... it's makeing me itch to go higher... up the voltage until it stable... fry the chip... i need better cooling!!! ;(
:)

the awsome vulcano7+ :), it's great when the chip is not overclocked, but when the voltage goes from 1.5v to 1.7 the chip is frying whit the fan on the highest rpm the vulcano can put out... i'm getting the cpublock this week... probably so i guess it won't take as long as i initiali thought :)
Tt stuff isnt what its cracked up to be, especially not the Volcano 9

I agree Tt stuff isnt very good but my pos Dragon Orb 3+ does a pretty good job cooling my 1600+ even though it's rated for up to 1.5ghz I think.

biggie: stick that chip in to a nf7 and use the same voltage and same cooling, same everything except the board, and you will see how good of a job it's doing, the epox board is known to show really really low temps :)
or perhaps the Abit shows high temps
biggie135

I don't really care that much about temps as long as it's stable and since I got this board I haven't had any problems. Infact it's been the most stable my system has ever been.

Oh btw the temps are about the same as my old mobo 8K7A+
wierdAl

people are saying that the temps of abit nf7s are accurate to +/-3C as long as you bend the sensor up and put some thermalpaste on it, wich is what i did... so you tell me what's goining on now... i think te temps are correct, but who cares,... i'm getting water cooling :) :) :) :)

antipop: i was talking to several difrent people about the high temps that my mobo is showing and they all said that it shows teps close +-3C to what the internal diode should show... so... they are accurate...
compared to all other boards that use the sensor in the socket... it shows 10C higher temps (except the rda wich is known to show low temps), but compared to those wich read from the internal diode...
ive seen people with 10*C temps, loads of them posting on here, ive seen more people say its 10*C than ive seen say its less

Some people told me the diode was offset by 10°C (some as high as 12!). The comparison was done was a diode placed near the core vs the socket diode

the comparison was done by switching to a mobo that reads the internal diode...
