All,
Could someone please help me with his?
I donloaded ic711.exe and awdflash.exe onto a bootable floppy and when I attempt flash, I input
awdflash ic7_11.bin
I get an error message saying program's file doesn't match system??
It's a lot different than my Albatron flash procedure and the manual/website are thoroughly useless!

Did you download the latest bios from HERE (http://fae.abit.com.tw/eng/download/bios/dlbios.php?name=IC7&file=ic7/ic711.exe) ?
Unzip it to a blank floppy, boot under pure DOS mode, and open the "RUNME.BAT" file. Installation goes automatically.
Tweaked!

I think I'm doing something wrong here...
I have a floppy w/ic7.exe AND boot disk contents +awdflash.exe
Are you guys saying take blank disk, load ic7.exe only?
Without boot disk stuff...how do you enter pure dos?

Extract the file from the "ic711.exe" file to a blank floppy.
You should get following files on the floppy :
ABITFAE.BAT
AWDFLASH.EXE
IC7_11.BIN
IC7_11.TXT
RUNME.BAT
Don't know if you have a dualboot system. I have W98SE and XP in dualboot. I choose Win98SE to start and press F8 when it starts, it then goes into DOS.
You can also make a bootable floppy under XP, and boot with that floppy. After booting, swap to the floppy with the BIOS files and flash from there.
Hope it works out for ya.

Easy when you know how ;)

Use this program to make a boot/flash disk
DrFlash (http://www.geniussystems.net/files/drdflash.exe)
Run this program to make a low-config bootdisk, then place the downloaded biosfile(.exe) on the disk.
Run the exe on the floppy to extract the files.
reboot with floppy inserted.
wait until drflash loads ,giving dosprompt.
Then type RUNME and sit back and follow onscreen instructions.
I love that drFlash program, boot & bios all on one disk. verry simple.
