Hi
Anybody who has the 1700+ CPU with the following stepping?
DLT3C JIUHB 0310 XPMW
here in germany these CPUs are currently avaiable and some users get more than 2.5ghz with this CPU :slobber:
Cooled by water, but this CPU needs a very low voltage that you should be able to cool with air.
Can you post your overclocks with this stepping?
thanks :-)
At the moment I'm running a 0308 XPMW on air:
http://people.freenet.de/clan-eae/cpu2342.JPG
cooled on air @ 62°C @ 1.75V
abit nf7-s
the abit nf7-s undervolts... in the bios I have choosed 1.825V
when I put 1.9V on it, my machine shuts down with a warn signal... (lower frequency, max temp 60°C)

TheDude,
Have you experienced that these boards (NF7-S rev 2.0) really hate high volts with these chips?

This is 100% stable at 1.9V, but the mobo really hates anything above these volts, will not POST.

Yes I have noticed that, but it seems I have to ram it with 2+ volts and then back off before I can get up in the 2.7 to 2.8+ range. If you are cooling with Prommie and can't post at high volts..get siren or lockup...try turning Prom off at PSU, wait about 10 minutes and boot it up again. I got into windows that way at 2.3 volts....then backed off voltage and got higher OC at lower volts.
Supaman,
My HyperX won't do over about 215 fsb with this board, I have some twinmos on the way. I was trying for 100% OC and I can't get there with high FSB. That might change with the new ram.
I haven't done any mods at all yet, unless you count active cooling on both bridges. I'm going to try one of these 1700s in Bowmans old rig, frosty NB should help. :D

Hi
can you probably post some overclocks, which are stable with prime95 or "benchmark stable" ?
here I have a pc mark bench

I can't say how godd the SPMW is... you have to test it ;-)

As soon as I get to push it properly and I'm back from work I'll benchie it etc :)
I have done some pelimanary testing and completes 3D Mark @ 2.42GHz (11.5*210) but 210FSB is stable so got to do some playing :)
Specs: -
ABIT NF7-S V1.2
AMD XP1700+ JIUHB DLT3C SPMW
2 x 256MB XMS3200 @ 4-2-2-2 (FSB Testing)
ThermalRight AX7 with TT Smart Case Fan II with cool mod
TTGI Hiper UK 420 Watt PSU

Ewok has a 0308SPMW over 2.5GHz on air. Mine does 2.4.

sweet :D
What cooling? Air?
Redskin

no watercooling.
I think 2600 Mhz is still stable @ 1.9v but then i have ~50°C.

I run a water rig 24/7 at that temp....haven't had any probs with it yet, think I'm going to take the Ti4600 out of the loop tho as I don't bench it or anything...maybe cool it down some.:D

Nice one Redskin :)

With a prommy it will be no problem to get more than 2700 mhz stable. But it's to expensive for me.
