Hi all,

Sorry for the lack of crunching, recently I moved rooms, started college, and my Athlon 64 decided it was that time of the month, and went absolutely CRAZY, still to this day I don't know what happened, but after its 5th reinstall of windows, it seems OK again! So I shall be crunching on my 1.86 Dothan and my Athlon 64 3200+ and hope to be contributing again to the team!

When the F@H competition is over I'll be back ;). But that does mean you have a good week of me being idle first :p:.

Well, since my last post, it would seem that my Computer has gone on its Period again :(. I am sick of this goddamn thing! So I don't know whats happening! It will stay BOINCing whatever :).

Ruan

P.S. Yes Stuart, I'm going 24/7 at the moment on both PCs trying to get a head start, but once you have Phase or have a Conroe, you will beat me to hell and back :(

Is it overheating or is your memory screwing up? I would hate to see heat kill your processor so get it checked out. If it is overclocked, perhaps the new enviroment isn't conducive to such a high overclock (less cold airflow from an AC unit, a hotpocket in a house, etc). Goodluck getting it stable, if all else fails just kick it a few times.

Well, recently I have had huge problems, the Memory controller on the die seems to have been messed, as the RAM is STUCK at 166MHz, you can only get it back to 200MHz by having one or the other of the sticks of RAM in, I have tried reverting my BIOS revision, but I havent been able to get back to 1003, only 1005 and later. There has been a few issues with heat recently, becuase the core was at around 54-57*c, and there was a large delta between idle and load from 35*c idle, so I dropped the FSB and the VCore, and it now seems to load at around 44-46*c, which is much better!

The new room is infact cooler than my old room, and I may be moving my PC to loft space at the side of my room, where its nice and chilly :), so if any of you have any ideas about the memory problem, tis appreciated.
