Call of Duty 2 - PC

I got a $50 gift card. I want to spend it, but not to waste.

I know this game isn't brand new, but is it worth the money to buy this game?

I was thinking of getting either this one or NFS:Carbon.

Is this game really good? Is it just as good as BF2 or better?:stick:

I have all 3 of those games and the only one I wasn't disappointed in is BF2.. I thought both COD2 and NFS:C sucked hardcore. The only time I found COD2 to be the least bit fun is multiplayer but even that got old real quick...

cod2 single player was pretty decent. NFS:C sux (mainly cuz i suck at it).

CoD 2 is my favorite multiplayer game - and the single player was great too. I'm a fan. I haven't played 2142 - but the other BF series games weren't worth all the hassle - the damn things have more bugs than Windows 95.

Good then.. I won't buy NFS:Carbon. I didn't think it was going to be a solid game anyway.

I know BF2 is damn good. So I take it the BF 2142 is solid game too huh? it's based on same engine and with some enhancements I'm sure it's good like ya said?

BF2 is NOT solid and 2142 is worse. Buggy engine, terrible developer support, and bad gameplay. CoD2 has it's problems but the community is pushing hard recently to get things fixed and unified world wide. The game is doing better than ever and if you have any interest in playing competitively I demand you buy it ;)

COD2 and BF2142 are both good games, 2142 is a varied game, kinda hard to get bored of it. It's still being smoothed out, but the bugs don't kill the game, IMO. COD2 is fun, but I got burnt out on it fast, real fast.

i was really disappointed in cod2. its basically cod1 all over again. just with better graphics. when i played cod2 i kept thinking "i have seen this before" all the time. dunno about the multiplayer part though.

but speaking of nfs:c and bf2142 i gotta say both kinda suck. nfs:c looks like :banana::banana::banana::banana: and runs pathetically slow. kinda like underground1 on a GF2MX card. and the only thing thats fun about this game is racing in the mountains - which is like 10% of the game.

and the new bf2 seems to be extra-noob friendly. there are not that kind of vehicles like in bf2 (choppers/planes) that require some skill and everything looks kinda bulky and ugly.

so basically i would stay away from all three games :)

I dunno if it has an expiration-date, but otherwise check out Rainbow Six Vegas, if you like it a bit slower paced... Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter would be another reccomendation from me :)... I know you've already got GTR2, and that's a hard racer to best... Don't take NFS:C if you liked GTR2 :)

What's keeping me from buying the NFS:C is the graphics. The screenshots I looked at almost made me throw up. It looked sooo blurry, there's absolutely no textures in it. Is it because of the motion blur feature turned on?? I hate that.

Previously, I bought a GTR2 for $19.99. It was the best $19.99 I ever spent. Was actually too damn cheap for that game. I wanted to pay more.


Anyways, I'm having trouble deciding.

Other than BF2 and COD2, are there any other good games? Help me purchase a new game plz..:(

guess if all you want is FPS shooters and car games it limits you, go try some demo's before you spend your money I like the BF 2142 I personally have had no problems, but I seem to be the minority

COD2 is the best FPS i've ever played (i'm new to PC and i don't have HL2 yet BTW:D ) 2142 is pretty damn addicting, well atleast the Demo is.....If you've played BF2-i didn't- then i can see why you probably are tired of it, but i know i'm buying it soon:banana:
