Just thought I'd give you guys a heads up that a newer version of IDCC has been posted on Intels site. I'm curious to see whether or not it supports the new Kentsfield processors.

That kinda sucks about no XP64 support - that is the OS I was planning on installing on my new build this weekend. :( I would guess if they stillhaven't got a version of this working for XP64 we probably shouldn't hold out breath waiting for a Vista compatible version upon its release. Still, I might do just a basic XP32 install and use this program to find the maximum FSB stability. This would seem to be a good way to get around mucking with the reset jumper on a failed overclock.
As a bit of an aside, what sort of FSB speeds are you guys maxxing out at with your X6700 / BX2 combos?

It works sometimes and others it won't start, gives me an initialization failure. This is on XP home. It needs some work, although when it actually does start, it's pretty cool!

Note that IDCC is much like IDU, it will fail if you have other environment monitors running such as SpeedFan, CPU-Z and similar software. Check out my findings here: http://sleektech.nl/~dm/review/intel/d975xbx-note/d975xbx-note-04.html

It's seems the page is down right now, but I am 99.99% sure it said somewhere on the download page that it didn't work with XP64.

I have nothing else like that running, it just fails to start sometimes. I have the other Intel utilities installed, but they were not running. Maybe I'll try to uninstall the others completely and see if that helps.
I've tried uninstalling it and reinstalling, but the problem still persists.

Good to hear. What is TAT? Is this another Intel utility that was conflicting with the program?

It's something called Thermal Analysis Tool. I saw the link somewhere around these forums, I think in the big BX2 thread here: http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=124131
It was either that or IDU that was interfering. Not sure and really doesn't matter, this program is much better!
