What do I get

was hoping to get an RD600 but lthat ooks to be a real long shot given the number available prior to Xmas(time constraints require the build to be done in the next couple of weeks)

If you had to choose an alternative board based on your experience which would you go for

I have:
e6600..that may hit 3600 at 1.45-1.55(on Asus P5B 1.45v and Asus P5W 1.55v)
2x1gb crucial 10th anniversary ddr 667
320 gb seagate sata/200gb sata..no raid
x1900xt cf(no cf though) just single board
dvdrw
xfi music
corsair 620w
watercool

I am not looking to do anything extreme...I want to hit 400-450 fsb(may not get 3600 so if I use 450x8=3400), I want a stable reliable platform, not too much tweaking
I do not live and die by benches like some ..
Most important is to get good vcore option to maintain P95 stable at whatever OC I hit

Thanks for any advice you can provide

$120- Gigabyte S3 -- 475FSB
$150- Asus P5B-E -- 500FSB
$180- Asus P5B-Deluxe -- 520FSB

Your RAM will be happy until around DDR2 1000... so I would get the P5B-E.

Since your watercooling NeilH i'd advise against the warm rebooting ASUS',they play havoc with your pumps. If you do,just make sure its pumping every time you notice your mobo reboots.Get a NB watercool sink too.
I say the bad axe 2 should be an option aswell.
Good luck. :)

if you want crossfire, DFI Infinity 975X/G seems decent now. New beta BIOS hits 400FSB easy for me(without and voltage increases) and I'm not even the best of clockers.
