What the hell is it?, what does it do?, what does it look like?...and why don't all mobo makers implement it?

its new, it replaces all the pwm modules on the motherboards.
it allows for better and more accurate voltage control to the cpu.
more space, and low power consumption.
and google it Richard you'll find all the info you need. DFI first used it on their new AM2 boards, although they did use it on the 975X board also.
why dont more use it? who knows, money? R&D ? the fact that it isnt some earth shattering breakthru that warrants switching all their mobo's to digital pwm. they would have to do a total redesign of the board or atleast around the cpu area.

its just a different way of implementing the power circuit. it isnt neccesarily better or worse, but it tends to be alot smaller in size. Usually it costs more to implement so thats why we don't see it as much.
Supposedly its cleaner power and more reliable but i have not seen any evidence of that yet.

DFI did not use it on the 975x board.
