I do my OC via ATiTrayTools.... it does the job and above all it lets me replace the bloated CCC...

I couldn't agree even more, I get the highest scores with that version over any other too. Using it right now on my XTX.

no matter what version of atitool I use, the possibility of it freezing my system is 50/50. :/

I had this problem with my 8800GTX drivers 97.44 fixed it, but since you have an ati card I would suggest the workaround above.

It reports lower temps than NVTemp. Has anyone noticed this?

Sweet.
Time to play, and see if my X1950XTX will run some faster speeds. :D
gotten tired of the problems with rc1 and 5. (One frezes my GFX, the other drops to 2D clock when I start Live MSN. Wierd!)

Let us know how it goes. I'm thinking about testing this over tray tools, but I can't be assed to try if it still sucks like it used to do.

It has been long enough since the launch of x1950PRO...
I need some bloody support for this thing already, damn it! :mad:

I've installed it this evening, and after enabling the CCC services you otherwise have to disable to make it work, I have enhanced my F@H stable OC of my X1950XTX from 769.50/1035 (GPU/G-RAM) to 803/1143 (which still is MAX for memmory, next step it freaks out, no matter what).
But I'm not finished testing yet, but I have to go sleep now, since I have an examination in 8 hours. :yawn2: :horse: :sick:
But I'll be back to tell, if I can get the GPU higher, so far it's only 57°C load with this clock for 3 hours.

I'm using it now. Loaded it up and went straight to 3D clocks, now my core is at XTX speeds :) Memory won't clock higher worth crap though. Oh well, core speed is more important for me - makes F@H run faster :D
Also set the stock fan to 55% - while noisier than the default 36% or whatever it keeps the temps at XTX speeds in the mid 70's instead of the low 90's and the tone is actually less harsh. At 36% there is this loud, hollow echo that isn't present at 55%.

Do we still have the x1950XTX 1143MHz memory wall?

NO x1950 pro support ....
I will stick then with the newest ATI Tray Tools.

Ahmad--> look at my post #14 ;)
Yes.
SparkyJJO--> Why? My water is doing much much better. :D F@H @803/1143 load=57°C after 16 hours. :D :p
Jagt--> I just tried running it higher om my card, but F@h is shutting down then. :(
Bugger. Just found out, that it also does it at 803MHz core. :( I'll try 796MHz, and se if that is stable.

Thanks. Does it work properly in 3D (benches, games)? I tried using ATi Tools before, and that only lead to a black screen when launching 3D, or lost of corruption no matter what clocks I used. That's why I've been sticking to Tray Tools. It might not be the best, but it's the only app I've gotten to work on this damn card.

I don't have the money for water, otherwise I'd be using it ;)

Haven't tryet yet, but eaven at 796 the F@H client want fully finish a WU :(
Now I'll try at 790.
Edit: Been benchin a bit now, and the 0.26 beta works OK, but not perfect. the gliders have to be movede manually, also when you try to change between profiles. But the clock is "staying on" while benching, at least while I ran 3D03 (~25k, had a lot in the background).
If you are too uptimistic for your bench speed, then ATI tool shuts down, not the entire machine, unless you are laying "on the edge".

I know, only kidding. No effence intended, only a little joke. ;)
