Okay all,
I was a little bored and tried to overclock some. I've got a E6400, Gigabyte DS4 and 4x 512 corsair c4.

I putted the voltage all on manual, because last time when I was at 333mhz CL3, it gave the cpu more volts which wasn't needed in my opinion. timings were 3-3-3-10 and fsb to 300mhz, rebooted, beeped, on/of/on/of/on/of. So it couldn't start, probably because the ram didnt get enough juice to boot at 300mhz cl3.

Last time I just hit the restart button and it restarted. I was on Bios F6 and now on F2? So I booted up at stock and tried to flash, but it gave me a error, and now its still saying (@Bios) Downloading BIOS File from Internet (wait a moment)

What should I do now? I guess just close it and try to reboot? My board has something called dual bios. Please help me :slap:

I'm sorry if this is in the wrong section.

Edit: Nevermind that ^^.

I just close it and rebooted, bios is F6 now.

Now I want to run 1:1 so my ram will be at stock settings. According to Corsair the ram needs 1.9v to do 333mhz Cl4(http://www.corsair.com/corsair/products/specs/twin2x1024-5400c4.pdf)

Does the system will need any more overvoltage except for the ram or cpu? Like FSB or GMCH?
I've seen people having a e6400@3+ghz undervolted? As you can see I'm not really expierenced with this and any help would be greatly appriciated. I'm running stock now. Guess i'll try booting at 300fsb 1:1 cl4 1.9v, then go up to 333fsb and test if its stable?

Also when I change Cas Latencies of the ram, the system shuts down after I saved the bios and 5 seconds after that it boots? Is that normal?

Great replies all...:woot: Lol k

Running at 2.4g now, all the errors I had before was because the latencie was low (3) and required more voltage which I didnt gave. So I'm using +0.1v now and it seems to be stable, tomorrow I'll clock it abit higher, I've got to learn for a important test tomorrow... :(

The chips that are used on the ram, are 10x10MM, I can see through the side of the ram. I haven't removed the heatspreader yet, but I think it are Micron D9's... I requested them at houseofhelp, but they couldn't find any info. Any idea on howto remove the heatspreader?

removing the heatspreader won't make them faster but it will make them non-retunable.

I know that, but then I'm sure what chips are on the ram and I can check how much volts you can give them. Anyway, I'm using PCI-E freq. auto and virtualization tech on because otherwise it just chrases after 2min no matter what cpu freq.

Im running 8*375 and it gives me already errors on Orthos after 20minutes, what should I do? I'm giving my ram 1.9v (it needs stock on the normal freq) 1:1
CL5, so Im sure it wont be because of the ram. For the rest is everything stock.
Should I add up the vcore for more mhz or should I give FSB vMCH more volts? and how much?

Again my setup:
E6400
Gigabyte DS4
4x 512 twinx 5400c4 ram
