Would mountain mods or a server case pretty much be it? Or can good engineering do this in a tower?

I'll be honest, I'm not a fan of the MM look. Would this case be possible?

or, better price: http://www.pcextreme.com/catalog/sku/cst-47.html

EDIT: 270mm isn't wide enough I suspect, "roomy" pics and reviews notwithstanding.

Eeek. That's high price but it should be able to hold it. For that price, you can custom fab even single case out of aluminum (probably 1/8" thick)

Well, the MM's case is mid 300's. It seems like all of the wider cases with some quality behind them are at least in the $300+ range. I could custom fab a case but by the time I have the materials, get the tools, find a place to do the work and store everything (I live in an apartment), and set aside the time, it has cost me at least this much. If I had my own garage I would make my own case without even hesitating. But as it stands I'm kind of stuck. :(

I'm open to case recommendations. Even though I don't like the look, the MM's horizon, with its horizontal motherboard tray opens up much more real-estate on the bottom for hardware.
