Hello, I'm hoping someone has some experience with this.

I have my e6300 @2500 on stock voltage and weird things seem to be taking place. My shortcuts don't link randomly and I have to find them again, my sound card drops out randomly and I have to reboot for it to work, I go to download a file and explorer hangs when I choose the download location...

Does this sound like not enough voltage on any of the following: the cpu, mem, nb, pci bus or maybe all of them?

I have all voltages at stock and the only settings I changed in bios are the fsb and locking the pci-e at 100 and the pci bus at 33.

It runs prime95 stable all night if that helps.

Any help would be appreciated.

Is this a fresh install of windows?

Do you have the newest drivers for mobo and vid etc etc etc?

I know your PSU is a beast, but have you considered trying another one, just for testing purposes ?

My experience with such strange behaviour is mostly hard drive related or PSU related. Maybe run a diagnostic tool to exclude your hdd as well, such as IBM Drive Fitness Test ?

Did you run a single or dual instances of Prime95?
Best bet is to give the machine a run on Orthos (Basically dual SP2004). Also make sure you loop windows memtest to 500-1000% too. Looped 3d testing may also show area's of instability so again thats worth trying.
