A mac mini-esque computer with an allendale and mid range dx10 graphics? Ati's DX>openGL compiler could become very handy, allowing a stream of games to have quick conversions from their pc versions.
If apple could release a console with solid media centre functionality that also happens to play games, it could actually be very good. And should they use non proprietary hardware it could mean cheaper hardware costs and constantly upgrading software. Ie. As pc hardware improves, the consoles improve, but the games have set modes that optimise for the console version your running ie. choose to run game at iGame1 mode, iGame 2 etc.
Doubt any of this is going to happen, but it would be a development I'd actually like.
