Hi guys,

Could someone help me out a little here please? I have 2 rotary comps, not sure what make but I seem to remember Sanyo being mentioned. They were bought around a year ago from Gray Mole and he told me at the time how to wire them, but within the last year, I've lost the sheet of paper I noted it on.

If someone could tell me which is Start, Run, and Common points from these pics it'd be great, otherwise these comps are pretty much useless :( I've attached the pics I took to this post, if you need other pics lemme know and I can take some tonight.

I have 25uF run caps for them, as they shouldn't need start caps Gray told me.

ANY help would be great as I want to get started on my cascade.

Cheers

they are marked either on the compressor or the plasrtic cover tha cover the terminals

ifnot they are usually laid out in the order in this diagram

Cheers wdrzal,

I read the post you made before with that image but it confuses me as there are 3 pins in a triangle lol. How do I know which is S, R, and C? You could start at any of them and call it S and work round, 9 options really. I don't wanna blow myself, and the comp up. I only have 2 of these and I need 2 for the cascade :(

If you could mark which would be what on my connector image in the first post I'd be really gratefull. I don't have any caps for the comps and as far as I can see, it's not noted on the comps themselves, only what I have shown in the images.

I appreciate the help :)

Cheers

Boardy you can measure resistance between windings, etc.
The highest resistance you will see between any two should be between start and run. Than you have solid common and direction of R & S is given :)

Ahh cheers Jinu, I knew there was something to do with resistance and finding it out.

Thanks for the help guys :D
