How odd. Goes to Taiwan for pre-CES news. :D

What's funny is a lot of the folks that set up at Computex aren't going to be at CES. Plain and simple, the kind of people folks like nVidia, etc. need to talk to aren't going to be at CES. CES is a CONSUMER electronic show. I'm going... but I'm not really sure what's going to come of it. I'll do Computex in Taiwan again in a heartbeat though! :D

I'll all about that OCZ gaming mouse...unless it turns out to be crap. I like the design by first look.

NV was at CES last year. Many hardware manufacturers have booths at CES or at least they rent a suite in a hotel nearby.

Last year OCZ had party at private suite. I don't expect it to be diff this year. There are ample companies but also more of them missing for computer part. All big shows seems to be in taiwan now a day.

They aren't this year. That's what I'm talking about.

Ohh ok, sorry, I thought NV was just an example. As far as I know many hardware companies will be at CES, but of course Computex is always bigger for this type of manufacturers. But Vegas is always fun, hope to meet you at a party :)

What I've been seeing is more people at Computex and less at CES. Last year, I was floored how much car audio there was!!

It's not like the good ol' days of Comdex. :(

Those gaming mouse are really made by company called A4Tech!

http://www.a4tech.us/product2.asp?CID=102&SCID=103&MNO=X-750BF

But then again some other Chinese company are producing for Logitech or Razor…

This only shows what the power of the brand is!
If you ever went on CeBIT, you could see bunch of small Chinese brands in really small boots (for the matter of fact OCZ always had the boot of the same size – really SMALL)

Point is, some much hyped brands are only re-branding, and maybe, but just maybe requiring little tightened quality control from the same small unknown Chinese manufacturers.

I don’t want to sound like OCZ hater; I do respect them for all they have achieved, no doubt that they are group of talented hardworking guys! Hell DELL (it rimes :D) made empire on the similar business concept! I just want to point out how does really IT business work today, and how it’s a shame no one from the “big boys” sites like Anandtech doesn’t write about that.
