After getting clobbered on launch day by reviews (2.0 Rating from Gamespot):

What do you mean ArchLord is going free to play?
(Last updated: 04-12-2006 13:48:38)
As of January 4 2007, players can experience all the excitement and adventure for free as ArchLord becomes a Free to Play service, meaning you have NO monthly fee to pay.

So once you’ve purchased the box, you will be able to carry on playing ArchLord for FREE! NO MONTHLY SUBSCRIPTION COSTS are required, with no additional fees; great gaming can be yours by simply buying a copy of the game.http://www.archlordgame.com/freetoplay.php

Dunno though...gameplay sucks, story sucks, there's no one ever around, and I'll admit that I wouldn't mind trying it out despite the reviews if the graphics were any good.

The warrior guy at the top of that page looks like he has been lifted straight out of the Guild Wars artwork.

I played the beta. It's terrible. I personally don't understand why EQ2 came out two years ago and is still the best MMO graphically. Really not too bad as a matter of fact. If I was cursed to playing an MMO for the rest of my days it'd be EQ2.

oh god that game is horrid.
I formatted the computer and now I'm running erase with 7 passes of Defense 5220.22-M with Dual quantum encryption running full speed to make sure that the garbage that the game is can not ever infect any of my other computers.
I'm tempted to just burn it now. >.<

Speaking of which, I did a gutman wipe on an old 1gb harddrive, heh.

Bleh to MMO's... Played em for years. They are the most fun you will ever have comp gaming if you get in beta and/or first few months of games release. After everyone knows how the game works, has the world memmorized, and knows the best armors and class designs and abilities, grinds levels exactly the same way, then raids targets exactly the same way: they are a painfully boring and aggrivating waste of time. Everquest lasted maybe three months before that happened... if you were real slow (like me) you could even stretch that fun to 5 or 6 months. I honestly miss playing EQ1 on a millenium 8meg agp @ 800x600 16bit. Wandering around kelethin then logging and making a shaman, then a sk, then a necro, then a sk again, then a bard, then finding the half-elf nipple easter egg... good times.

I actually bought the everquest tips book when I got the game. Man it's a fun read... best weapons it lists are Mino battle axe and bronze. Lists class spells up to lvl 35. Necros have charm... Ahh the good old days.

I don't understand why everyone cares about graphics so much here. In an RPG, no less.

I wouldn't mind playing Diablo II until they figure out how to make fun games again, if I wanted to play that genre. That being said, a score of 2.0 is pretty damn low from these asskisser "reviewers". Hell, they gave GuildWars like 4.9/5 and that game is bad, for the lack of a better term.

I liked Diablo 1 more than diablo 2. Probably because I was in a good guild (its still around, still in it).

People do, but you'll find a multitude of cheaters who'll kill you and take your stuff for no reason.

I don't know about D2, but D1 is like that - I logged on with my leveled player, my LEGIT grandfather sword and some shield that gave me 40 defense. I'm in the town and someone PK's me, steals my stuff then buggers off.

I hate that game now.

never really was a good idea to play in an un-passworded game of Diablo. Hack were rampant, and still are. Old game to bother playing today, though.
