What was arguably one my strongest crunchers, prior to C2D's, has been down a month with a messed up vid card that was messing up the system. I bought a replacement card for it, but haven't gotten around to putting it in. Til today. New card is in, reset the project and its' crunching.
While in that backroom I found a dual Xeon box that had been in some kind of BOINC "no mans land" and wasn't actually crunching. It had "()" in the title bar of BOINC Manager, and the reporting date of the WU's that showed after I restarted BOINC were expired. I reset it and its crunching again. I'll be paying a little more attention to it from here on out.
I need to power up!
Have another two to work on, plus a Cloverton build. Should give a kick in the pants to production.

Hey serlv if you don't have time to keep up with all your boxes you could just ship that cloverton out Ohio way and I could get it crunching :D Just a thought.
How terribly thoughtful :D

Indeed!
Nah. The Cloverton build is fine and "online" now. I'm talking about the second Cloverton build... :D

OK! Got another sidelined cruncher up and running. I had to use the HS from this cruncher for another machine and had set it aside. Got a new HS on it and turned it on. When I opened BOINC the deadlines for the WUs in there was 10-29! Guess it has been off for a while... :(
Anyway, it is an X2 3800+. I reset BOINC and it is crunching away.
So, so far that is 6 cores crunching, now, as of today, that haven't been for quite some time. :woot: :woot: :woot: :woot: :woot: :woot: :woot: :woot: :woot: :woot: :woot: :woot: :woot:

I check my boxes once a day, I use the WCG Device Manager/ Device Statistics. It gives me a full list of my boxes, and if one has not reported in 24hrs+/-...I check it out.
I had one with the "()" also awhile back, no apparent reason and has not done it again:)
