Im finnally got the Boinc win 5.4.11 version run on my Gentoo box using wine 0.9.22
I had to su into root
Then i installed the boinc 5.4.11 .exe file
Then i run it as root and added my account
It complained that it could not attach, but that was only the error message.
It has attached and are working at this time.

Now i will actually get the points i deserve just as all you on the win platform:toast:

I will report back later as ive have to see if i get any errors or so but so far it seems to work just as good as the real win platform:)

If this works all potetntional linux user there out will be able to atleast Double their credits:)

Sempron 2800 at only 2,1ghz stock volt (K8m Neo-V suck:P)

But running boinc 5.4.11 trough wine it gets

1970 floating points
3631 integer mips

While my Sempron 2800 at 2,6ghz@1,475 volt
running the normally linux version5.4.9 gets
1378 floating points
2585 integer mips

this is very good! but i thought they where going to fix the boinc for linux anyways? and will it make that much of a diff in the quorum system? but i hope they come out with the new version quick. can this work with uduntu? cuz i have 5 soon to be 7 or 8 rigs running ubuntu full time and this would help alot!

:dammit:
The program works
It crunch without errors, but it claims zero points:(

Im gonna check the newer 0.9.25 version of wine in Ubuntu. Hopefully it works better.

Edit: Just tried my Ubuntu machine with a newer 0.9.25 version of wine, but it dosent count the time here either> leading it to claim 0 point:mad:, so its back to the linux version again.

But they said that they will fix the Linux scoring system with the next boinc update, so lets hope they reallly did.
