I have this really odd problem...
I'm connected to my router fine...I can access XS forums fine, as well as hotmail....
Any other website doesn't work...FF says "looking up www.xxxxxx.com" and then gives an error....I can't play online games...
It's like I'm not connected...but at some points am...this is about the third time this has happened and I really don't know why
Any ideas? (Oh ya, and so far, my only way to solve it is to reboot my entire network :/)
*Using P5WDH wireless adapter.

Have you tried IE to see if it will connect to those sites? Is your modem flashing that your connected at these times or does the light go off? Also you could take the router out of the loop and see if thats the problem.

Don't worry, I just checked - the Internet is still up. Must be something on your side ;)

IE works for the same sites...my modem is powered, has sych, and is connected fine to the router :/
A note though, everything works perfectly when wired thru the router, just not wireless :/

Hahaha, I figured that was coming ;)

You could try changing the channel your Wireless broadcasts on from the router, sometimes interference occurs on some channels - eg someone else's wireless nearby. Is there a good strong signal detected on the wireless app on your PC? And there's no URL filtering/parental controls/Access control on the wireless side of the router [long shot that one]?
My solution is run a cable, but I just don't like wireless (keyboards, mice, LAN, or anything else) since it seems to fail so often, so I'm bound to suggest that, & it's probably not practical :p:

Check you hosts file incase there are some funny entries. Can you ping websites from a cmd prompt at all ? If you can try entering the IP of each site manually in the browser. This would show if you have a DNS issue with your browser.
Here is google.com = 216.239.59.99
Manually set your IP with wireless. I have had problems sometimes with wireless and DHCP, specially DNS.
