since i know my camera sucks i will tell you what they are.
on top we have a Intel P4 3.0c SL6WK 30 cap. Just in case you do not know this is the holy grail of Northwood steppings and it is a 30 cap version.
it should be able to do 3.8GHz on air easy.
Next we have 2 x 512mb C3 ram, not anything special but it was free.
i pulled both of these from a broken Dell that was given to me.
Now i need a mobo that can support it. If you have a socket 478 800mhz mobo sitting around let me know. I NEED it.

We'll see. The thing is if I can get them 24/7 stable and running in the 40's at 3ghz I'll be happy and I think thats doable on air. Now if these were in your hands you'd mod the board, up the volts, add water and be at 4ghz..:D

Hey kid : please remember water will remove the cigarette ashes from the CPU. The olde one swears that is a requisite for OCing: ashes all over the CPU and the MOBO.

Such a beautiful habit : smoking.
Let's say the three uncles I have buried during this last year due to smoking-related lung Cancer will not agree with me.
My apologies for preaching against smoking. But do this math exercise try and calculate how much money you have spent in cigarettes during your smoking years and then calculate how many CPU and mobos and ram sticks you could have bought with the money that went up in smoke.
Drat: in the cases of some of you the Cpus and mobos would have gone up in smoke too... I better find another example.

The last time I tried stopping smoking was close to 10 years ago.
On that morning I fired these 2 guys that worked for me and had deserved it for months. One got right in my face after I fired him and I was soooo on edge that I looked at him and said:" Take the shot, make my day!":fact:

A quick look at that mod has me thinking about his ties to Asus. But the P5B-E Plus may be a different design than the P5B Deluxe. We'll see.
Have to get me a friend at ASRock who can show me the circuit diagrams of the board. Makes it much easier.:)

The whole point of the exercise is to see how much performance can be squeezed out of the board with Vcore, Vdroop, Vdimm, Vmch, Vfsb mods, WC, and good old BH-5. I can always substitute a E6300 for the E6600.

6A would be another gem. I have 6 256mb sticks of them and the OC great. They are said to be Infineon manufacturerd BH5. My PC333 run at 200mhz 2 2 2 5 at stock voltage, so that might be true.

Cos me E6600 is up and running and the IC7-Max3 is been retired to 24/7 crunching in 'Da Rack' and needs a proc that will give it a year or so more than its current Prescott. (before the Power regs blow up) So I'll be swapping that furnace of a Prescott out and in with the Northwood. I also have a TEC project to finish off too in socket 478.
