I just started playing Counter-Strike Source (retail) and so I've been playing Assault mostly on 3-4 different servers I like since it's a simple map and I'm still getting used to the different guns and such. I've noticed that at different times I seem to get dissconnected from the server alot after 3-4 rounds (at random times) while at other times it rarely happens, also happens on more than one server. Does anyone know what the problem might be? Does this happen to you?

Do you have a high ping? Most servers with have ping limitations in order to control lag

You need to go into options, and enable developer console.

From there, you need to hit the tilde key aka the "~", and then type in cl_restrict_server_commands 0, and hit enter. Then you should stop getting disconnected. ;)

ok, thanks, I'll try that. BTW, no I've only been on low ping servers.

Id be willing to bet you are using a linksys router. What model and revision is it?

Roll back your firmware for the router to the original.
