good to see this board doing some decent fsb's, wonder how stable 475/480 is though (coolaler going up is such small steps useally isnt a good sign.. :p: ).

Test the stability of the FSB1900

except the additional power connector I pretty much like the board layout.
looks clean, space around the socket.
And performance looks promising as well, hope we'll see >500 FSB on this board

I been trying to find the same info, but this board is a ES and not a retail board, so the answer will be mute anyways. Notice the slightly different heat pipe design and it doesnt have the RoG logo on the southbridge. Also the colors look slightly different compared to a retail board, although i suppose that could be the camera.
Decent clocks though, id hope for a little better, but it will due i guess, better then what im stuck with atm anyways.

Thats not a great overclock seen higher. using a engineering sample to show us the board and results aint very helpful. What good is that to 99% of us? Thats not the real world. Does that mean you got a lower fsb with a retail cpu? lolll. I already seen a bfg do 488 from dumo and striker do 512 from bingo13. Makes the P5BD still a great board. It seems paying $140 just to overclock that bit more questionable.
Anybody running overclocked pc for games wont bring you much more fps, when you have default sufficient speed its down to the graphics. 60fps is enough to run games very smooth.

coolaler is the Striker Extreme that's in the photo on the first page a retail motherboard? The reason I ask is that it doesn't have the same heatpipes as the one on the ASUS website. I'm guessing that ASUS discovered that there heatpipe design was flawed.

Ah hellll i cant wait to get my striker! I couldnt wait for the pre order so i went and bought me a asus p5b to kill time. And ow yes i popped my brand new shiny e6600 L629B under the hood and im currently priming @ 3.2ghz 1.18vcore LOL.
This is very promising!!!! Not a bad board this P5B...its the simple version(100euro)Low budget but seems to have some juice in it :)
Now ASUS hurry up and ship me my darn STRIKER :slapass:

The evga does (in bios) but not in Ntune. Asus probe/ai has so far not in any board.

it's the heatpipe from the lower model called p5n32-e SLI, the little sister of the striker extreme

Hey m8, simple question does the SOUND ACTUALLY WORK on this Asus board when sli is enabled or is it totally phucked up like it is on the eVga 680i :fact: :fact: :fact:
Think you could give us a straight answer on this.

I am very dissapointing, lox FSB,memory bandwidth is beter with 975,and FSB is nearly same.So if RD600 is not beter with memory bandwidth,I will wait for mb wit high voltage and new revision of 975 cipset.Deam I espect more of this chip.:slapass:

Not sure why anyone would be dissapointed. This is just a first glance at the mobo. On the eVGA mobo people are having problems past the mid 400s and some have been as high as 525. People are still trying to sort through the inconsistent CPU performances. I'd like to see a few more bios releases before I decide whether I'm dissapointed. This 680i is still the only OC friendly officially supported SLI capable Intel CPU based chipset so it may be a good choice for gamers. :D And a nice jump from the last generation Nvidi 590s.

Seems to have better voltage regulations. Vcore at 1.55 is better than the Kunaak's board.

I really like this board, it might be expensive, but it's just Asus quality with a little bit of DFI-sauce poured over it. And with those blue LEDs it just looks amazing. I will surely consider this board for my next build. :slobber:
Anyway, there is a review of the Striker Extreme @ motherboards.org (http://www.motherboards.org/reviews/motherboards/1674_1.html), too bad they didn't pick the right processor to OC with. Still, it got to be Editors Choice! :)
Keep on doing your thing coolaler!
Maybe you can get your hands on the DFI Lanparty UT ICFX3200 (a.k.a. DFI RD600) or the DFI Lanparty UT nF680i SLI, that would be awesome! :D

Seems to have better voltage regulations. Vcore at 1.55 is better than the Kunaak's board.
Set my BFG 680i last night to 1.57v and it showed 1.53 after boot. Then set to 1.6v and it showed either 1.56 or 1.57 can't remember now.
I got as far as spending 10, yes 10 hours putting everything together for my new rig and then wife's rig, I wanted perfection in my new stacker 830, wish they had stock on the 830 evolution but when that comes out I'll swap out for it.
The stacker 830 had the best space of any non server case I've used and the best I've ever seen for construction and easy of use. I was able to mount 8x120mm Silverstone F121s @ 110cfm each.
I slipstreamed all nvidia drivers except the video driver into my XP SP2 CD for install tonight. Hoping this board lives up to all I've read so far!
