nice score m8...try getting your X68 to atleast 3.8-3.9ghz,
with same core/mem. on 8800's should give you nice boost in score. ;)

How well does the 680i overclock with 4x1gb sticks? I have been pondering moving to 4gb for vista....

How deep are his pockets doesn't concern you or any one in here. And last time I checked, pocket depth is, if anything, positively correlated with brains.

Hehe.. I don't think it should be a concern but I would never claim that the amount in my pocket had anything to do with my brains. I sure enjoy spending a lot of money on my PC but I really don't think its as useful as it seems. I think a decent PC can be had for a lot less. And by decent I mean 5% slower.
Basically I could have got a CPU that does 3.2 just fine for a lot less then the X6800 costed. And I really don't need two desktops and a T5600 /7600 Go lappy too.

Is this all stock cooling or ???
Finally got some time tonight and I'm 50% through with my first XP install on my eVGA 8800GTX SLI + eVGA 680i + X6800.
I've got some of that Team Xtreme and some GSkill but I'm start off with my 4 sticks of OCZ.
I've just got 1 8800 in right now cause I'm not sure my best P/S in house will handle both (PC&C 550 ASL).
I have a Silverstone Zeus 850w and a Silverstone 750w (modular) that will be here Monday. Have no idea when I'll get my Dominator 8888.
I also went ahead and ordered 2 of the factory WC BFG 8800's that should be here first of week after next.
Dell 3007 will probably be here Monday.
I think I'm somewhere in the $4,000+ range for last week. That's a record even for me... :)
I work _very_ hard for my money but I make it primarily using my computer so I spare no expense... :)

thats far lower then I expected 2 8800's to do in 2005.
about 2000 more then a single card does...

Yah those numbers do seem rather low for SLI 8800, perhaps SLI didnt actually engage, or it could be something else, drivers, something with the board, maybe even the CPU being a bottle-neck, 3.6 isnt very much considering its a X6800.
Think its hard to tell at this point, since thats alot of new technology all thrown together right now, im sure in due time though, those numbers will be MUCH higher with the same gear.

Actually i have that powersupply as a backup, and its pretty decent, its not as good as my PC Power 1k, but theres a large price difference as well, for people building average pc's thats usually the powersupply i recommend, its pretty cheap and gets the job done.

Yea dude your 3.2ghz cpu is only 5% slower than a properly overclocked X6800 thats running 3.8 to 4.0 ghz stable.:bs:
Enough with all that. As zemzelett and fcg said take the X6800 and 8800s out of neutral and push it please. You've got alot of nice hardware, start using it to its full potential.
The ocz psu is decent and all but come on 700w for a X6800 and sli setup, get some more juice.

the factory watercooled 8800gtx looks interesting (and the price isint that bad considering what a full block cooler costs and the fact that its warantied), but I would never buy anything from tiger so I guess I will have to wait tills its available elsewhere (newegg or zipzoom or mwave...)

the 880ogtxs took a huge leap in image quality, while retaining brute speed.....
My 7950GX2 got about 19000 in 05..... so 22,000 is a nice score. Stock, these cards are just a single card, and not a whole lot faster then the 7950gx2 (2 cards).
I seen a friends 8800gtx score on 06, got 11,000.... I get 10,000 (cpu and gpu overclocked) but put them side by side OR add another 8800gtx..... it is a world of difference. Mine should be here Wednesday :)
Congrats on the score, and some nice hardware

You have a point. I suppose if I put more then 1.4 volts to it I could probably go over 3.56 but what for? boasting rights? Sure I may do that but my point is there are a lot of guys who have got 3.6 just fine with a E6600 and they saved themselves $500 to $600... That makes more sense to me. Sure I like my chip but it's a hell of a lot of money for not much.

about 2000 more then a single card does...
Here's my single card, on air, using an E6600 @3.7. It's a little more than 2000 point difference. More like 5,000 but still that does seem low. I'm using the 9702 driver. Is there a better one out?

"More money than brains"
Well where I get my money is working as a network engineer and my wife brings home more of an income than I do working at a law firm. We have NO kids except for 2 beagles, so advice? Get a good career going and a damn good woman and you'll be all set. BTW when I told my wife I was upgrading my system (3 months old) and spending around $2000 she said "ok honey have fun"
Tomorrow delivery shipping out today:
BFG 680i, 2xBFG 8800 GTX SLI, 2GB Corsair Dominator 8888 C4, Coolmaster Stacker 830, 2x150GB Raptor X, BFG 1000W PSU 4x12v (20A ea)
All SLI certified even the case for 8800 GTX, hope all goes well with the install. Using E6600 @ 3.5

This is EXTREME SYSTEMS not [H] This is were the big boys play and I love it. Even tho I haven't bought a system yet . My wife has. and I find your comment about more money than brains insulting.
I have customers that have paid out $1700+ just for the paint job on their cases. These people aren't stupid . They couldn't afford a case that cost $2000 if they were stupid. They want state of the art hardware in a showcase Box. That may BE EXTREME but not stupid.
Great results with those SLI G80 gtx's pusher some more I see 25,000 in 3DMark 06 probably befor I finish this post. :eek2:
Sorry I read that as 06 . Lets see some06 scores and push it up to at least 3.85 @ 1:1 Thats only 350Cpu fsb and 1400 fsb. I agree with other post put a p&c PSU in that beast and crank her up.

What I am most interested and others with 24"-30" LCD monitors is that 1920x1200 or for me the 2560x1600 res. I bought the advanced license of 3dmarks 2006 and will be happy to post my results hopefully tomorrow afternoon if all parts go together smoothly.
Currently running 3.5 C2D with 7900GTX SLI and get around 11,000 with minor 690/850 OC on video. When I had to turn down AA in BF2142 due to some drops in FPS during big battles I was waiting for this release. Also another big problem was running the 975X and using old drivers for SLI.
Now with all components even RAM SLI certified and a really excellent case Coolmaster Stacker 830 I'm hoping to have 100% increase in my scores. I know for a fact from other reviews the default 1280x1024 scores will not even be close to 100% increase however I believe the 2560x1600 scores that should not be at all CPU limited will show the true POWER of these 8800 GTX cards in SLI.
BTW 3dmarks2006 score 2560x1600 ranged from 5300-5600 depending on video OC and CPU did not move the score barely any at all. If I can approach 10,000 @ 2560x1600 I'll be VERY happy.
Oh ya Guru3d has a review with some 8800 GTX SLI scores at XHD resolutions including 2560x1600 one of the in game scores went from 53fps to 101fps. Close enough to 100% increase.

Oh come on, this is XS. Everyone here is loaded. Why shouldn't they flaunt it? Not that I'm advocating rubbing the fact that you have money in others' faces, but still. All the "extreme benchers" are loaded. That's a fact you accept when you register at XS.
Although, yeah, it's kind of stupid to post what you spent on things, unless you found a good deal. Simple. There's no need to do so. Just post the scores. :)
