which motherboard for core2 duo + ati?

I'm in the market to replace my single core opteron system with the current OC king, conroe. I'll be running the system on air at first with the (highly likely) possibility of going to watercooling in a couple of months. I intend to run ATI cards with the not so likely but still possible chance of going crossfire at some point during the machine's life.

So, that said, I'm shopping motherboards. nVidia chipset boards are obviously out, does that leave me with the p5w dh?

Both 975 & 965 support Crossfire if the board has the necessary 2x PCI-Ex16 slots (965 2nd slot only runs at x4 though).

So 975 - asus P5WH, P5WS64, abit AW9D series, Badaxe, DFI & MSI's 975s.
965 - Asus P5B series , Gigabyte DS4, DQ6
