View Full Version : Poll: Those of you with Conroes on phase, what 24/7 speeds are you pulling?

I'm curious what people who use phase-change cooling are getting, 24/7, on their conroes since so often it's the one-time OCs just on the edge of stability that get posted.
Post away. :D

4300 stable 24/7 on home built phase.
4400 will run dual prime stable for 24 hours but I back it down to 4300 for good measure.

4 GHZ....
I dont get it though...
CPU only takes 1.375 volts to get to 3.6 ghz with air...
1.4 volts with water to hit 3.8...
then 1.55 to get 4 ghz with phase?
reseated it twice and it doesnt matter.
temps are solid -31C in bios, -24C under full load...
but still takes awhole lot more voltage then I thought, to get 4 ghz...
its weird how poorly it scaled, cause it does so damn good on air...

Throw some real voltage at it, I run 1.55v on a stock Big Typhoon. Ive run 1.74v on water, it will be fine on phase ;)
What chip are you using exactly? my E6700es could dual 32m @ 3.8 easily on 1.55v, but more voltage didnt even help 1mhz :(

6600.
I've had it to 4.3 ghz so far, but I thought this was about whats stable... not whats max...

I asked the same question about 2 weeks back and got some replys.

I've probably got the worst E6600 ever and the best i can do with it is 3.8ghz with 1.6 volts stable and 4 ghz not stable with 1.675. I'll be grabbing another c2d soon so i'm sure my results will be much better if i dont get another dud.
