I didnt think I wanted to run Raid on all my drives so I used AHCI.. now for the eck of it i wanted to define Raid0 on INCH7R jst to test the speed diff 9i WORK N LOTS OF VIDEO) SO i Rebooted when to the bios and Set INCH7R Deom AHCI To Raid ( I instelled the Raid MAtrix software while in windows before rebooting)
but setting INCH7R to Raid only got to the logon nscreen then rebooted.. How the heck can I go to Raid0 now without having 2 re-install everything?
or can it be done??
thank u

You must re-install...sorry:(
There are probably lots of ways to do it. But here's one. This method requires a total of 3 hard drives and Norton Ghost (DOS floppy version)
1) I assume your main drive is currently attached to the Intel controller and working perfectly. Go into Device Manager and make sure you have already installed drivers for the JMicron SATA controller (you probably did this when you installed the system initially so you can probably skip this step). Shut down PC
2) Unplug the SATA data cable from the Intel Controller and plug it into the Jmicron controller
3) Boot up the PC. Windows will notice that the drive has been moved to a new controller, it will reconfigure itself and then ask you to reboot. Let it reboot and make sure everything is working okay. Shutdown
4) Enable RAID controller in bios (don't attach any drives to RAID controller yet). Boot into windows and install RAID drivers (if not already installed). Shutdown.
5) Attach 2 other hard drives to Intel RAID and configure them as a RAID 0 array in the Intel RAID bios
6) Boot PC wing Norton Ghost (DOS floppy version) or some other cloning tool to do a DISK TO DISK clone from the single SATA drive on Jmicron to the Intel RAID 0 array.
7) Remove single drive from JMicron controller
8) Boot into windows using RAID 0 drives. Windows will detect drives are now attached to Intel RAID, it will reconfigure itself, and ask you to reboot
9) Done.
Sounds complicated but it's easy if you have enough hard drives and Norton Ghost (DOS floppy version). If you haven't got enough hard drives, go and buy more. You won't be sorry. You can mount the spare drives in removable drawers and have fully bootable (Norton cloned) full backups of your PC that you can use for all sorts of things. Note: you can backup/restore between the 2 raid drives and a single drive with Norton Ghost - it's not an issue.
