Ok, TAT says 56, Core Temp says 62 and Asus says 65. Which should I be focusing on?

TAT and Core Temp read the digital sensors inside the chip.
They're all pretty close anyway.

I'd trust TAT more than Core Temp and Asus is obviously misreading the on-die diode to give such a high reading.

Wow, that's a turn around. Usually the mobo is reading too low instead of too high. Which Asus board is it?

Meh, the temps from mbm sensors are wildly inaccurate. They vary from board to board. Some are 20 high, some are 17 low, it's a crapshoot.

I use TAT over anything else

Well, right now using TAT exclusively would bring my temps 10*C lower than the ASUS one, so I would certainly prefer that one. But how do I know TAT is actually the most accurate measure?

Because it's written by Intel for reading thier own CPUs. And so far, nobody has ever proven it to be inaccurate unless it was malfunctioning wildly, which is then obvious. So far, it's been bang on for me.
