Wonder how this board compares to the other reference boards already out. I think I'm not going to wait for this phantom rd600 board and get an evga 680i. Might as well, crossfire doesn't even look appealing any more. I guess dfi only has them selves to blame considering most people are not going to go for a crossfire board considering these 8800 series results.

You can add me to that list...I'm still astonished at that ROG board's price and what it may actually offer to people over a enthusiast board such as this one

well all the voltage goodies and such are from the striker extreme (Coolaler finally confessed the board identity)
I am predicting that this will have the same voltage options as the eVGA with the $299 pricetag paying for the name ASUS, the sound card and the 8 phase Digital VRM.

we will see though

right?so wouldn't it be a good idea to just get the Evga instead for $299 as compared with the asus that's way up there?

good luck with evga bios support.

If there is a major problem, they will fix it.
PLus its the refference design, so more than likely will BIOSs from XFX, ECS, Biostar and BFG work just as well.
