My system is ****ed. I dont know whats wrong with it. First I had a major virus infection. I have tried and ran the following AV applications: Avast regular and professional, avg regular and professional, panda online scan. Most of the applications either would not fully detect the virii or would not allow me to delete them. I manually deleted well over 2000 infected files. I have ran antivirus well over 100 times on my drives. I cant even tell if they are removing the files or not. There seems to be one "queen" file that is infesting my computer. I cant figure out where or what it is. I was infected with a large variety of virii that seem to not only self replicate but infect files that I had never even seen infected before such as .rar files. Regardless I cant seem to rid the computer. I deleted every file that was infected and even went through and erased any files of the types that were infectable. all that is left on my hard drives is movies and music neither of which can be infected by a virus. I moved all my files around and formatted the drives then moved them back. I dont know what else I can do short of formattting all my drives at the same time completly erasing everything I have on them.
on top of the obvious problems associated with having a virus my pc is suffering from bsod syndrome. I check the system event viewer and nothing is showing, so I cant even tell whats causing the BSOD. The messages on the bsod are varied, ive seen well over 5 so far. I dont know if its the virus causing it or what.

what can i do?

I cant seem to get a AV program that actually works 100%. the virus seems to know certain types of these programs and seems to shut them down. I tried using an online scanner and that seems to work but I cant seem to get it to complete a run. I realize I have alot of hard drive space to check.
I formatted my pc 4 times now and reinstalled windows xp. I was even getting stop errors during the install process. any suggestions short of completely formatting my hard drives which is not an option.

I ran 2 online scanners today for like 4 hours now. they say its clean of viruses. I got 3-4 bluescreens just while running the scanners. So it says i am virus free and if i get a blue screen now what do i do? the only program I have installed is kaspersky AV and winrar which i needed to unrar a file.

I finally got trend micro to declare that my pc is virus free. yet I still get blue screens. this is a fresh install of xp with only kaspersky installed. how can I be getting blue screens?

i DONT THINK PERSONALLY THAT U HAVE A VIRUS ON UR PC CAUSE U FORMATED IT UR HD 4 TIMES , THAT SOUNDS TO ME LIKE A HARDWARE ISSUE OR PROGRAM ISSUE , DO THE MSCONFIG AND SELECT THE BASIC START PROGRAMS AND REBOOT TO SEE IF U STILL GETTING BLUE SCREEN , IF U STILL GETTING IT CHECK UR SOUND CARR DRIVERS, VIDEO DRIVERS EVEN UR MOBO DRIVERS
GOOD LUCK
SORRY ABOUT CAPS , TO LAZY TO REDOIT AGAIN

sorry i forgot my sig dont work on this forum. heres my specs.
Asus P5w-dh deluxe
Intel x6800 @3.51 ghz
2 gb OCZ VX2 DDR2 PC2-8000
2x EVGA 7900 GTO SLI 85.96 690/730
OCZ Gamestream 700W PSU
Scythe Infinity
NEC 20wmgx2 20.1 LCD
Lite-on DVDR SHM 165H6S
Lite-on DVDR SOHW 1673S
2x WD 36.6 GB Raptor Raid 0
4x Seagate ST3320620AS 320 GB SATA 3GB/S
Logitech G5
Logitech G15
Thermaltake Mozart TX

I have 6 HDD total. So if that makes more sense why a virus is a bit harder to manage. I dont know how I was even initially infected. the virus disabled my antivirus I had installed and self spread. I never clicked on a thing. It might have been dormant a while. the drivers are all fully installed. I just finished that and was attempting to update windows to the latest service pack but now windows update will not work for me either. I can reinstall windows once again but i dont see how that will fix things either. something is making windows not want to work when it is freshly installed.

if i were you, i would do a minimal build, try loading the os onto just 1 hd, and see if you can get through the loading of the os with no errors.
after formatting your hd 4 times, i dont think you would still have any traces of a virus on your comp, so this could be a hardware issue...good luck.
