ok, I have a annoying problem with internet explorer 7.

it seems to be running 90% of my forum browsing from pages stored on my pc somewhere, and only updates the pages every few hours....

so I have a way I kinda fixed this, by attaching the refresh button to my mouse...

but thats getting old real fast, cause I do it every single time I open a topic or a forum area, to be able to see the latest info in that page or topic.

now, it's not just here that this happens. this happens on just about all forums and webpages I visit at the moment...

so how do I get IE7 to stop displaying cached webpages, and start connecting to the most recent version of a page?

this whole cached webpages thing is getting old real quick...

Have you done the Tools - internet options - browsing history settings and selected "check for newer versions of stored pages - every time i visit a page" thing?
Ive got it set on auto and it works fine for me atm.

Or maybe this (http://blogs.msdn.com/ie/archive/2006/06/01/613132.aspx) could help.

Master G's advice worked.
the problem is, its set to AUTO by default, and at default it sucks.
