Hi' there

Is it just me or won't the DFI NF4 UT Lanparty run with both PC 4200 and PC 3700 at the same time?
The ram works just fine if i only use one type but with both types it refuses to boot at all.
Tried clearing Cmos, setting ram settings to what should be more than safe for both modules but nothing seems to work.
Currently using the N4D702-3 Bios, could that be why or isnt there any way to get the RAM modules working together in this board?

More input needed on what kind of RAM.

Post types and post the SPD values from each.

OCZ EL DDR PC-3700 Platinum 2x512MB Dual Channel
G.Skill F1 DDR550, 2x512MB - 2-3-3-6 LF

Ok no way these 2 will work together.
Tried replacing the OCZ modules with a pair of G.Skill F1 DDR550, 2x512MB - 2.5-3-3-7 LE and still won't boot.

If the CAS latency doesn't match in the SPD of the modules you are trying to run, then the board won't boot many times. Even when it does boot, you won't see all the ram.

You need to have the CAS latency programmed the same on the SPD for the DFI to boot properly.

Yeah true, those few times i did get it to boot it only reported 1 gb of ram insted of 2
But nice suggestion, downloaded the thaiphoon and changed the SPD of the ram so they were similar, and managed to get it booting and detecting both ram modules. was running fine just didn't overclock very well.
returned both modules since they only had those 1 pair of each so trying some different Ram types now, so back to waiting.

Changed the SPD? I hope you didn't change the SPD on the OCZ ram and you say you returned them? Whom did you return it to?

Changing your SPD voids the warranty.

no worries :)
was some gskill ram, and made backup before changing which they have been restored to.
