when i chose hdd mp3 player the main parameters were size, capacity of hdd and continuance of working of the battery and i decided to buy Sony NW-HD5 20 Gb. it has black and white display so there are no possibilities to watch videos, but it's not so miportant (for me at least).
if i were u, i'd take Ipod :).

It all depends what you value most in an MP3 player.
For the best sound quality and options, the iAudioX5L is one of the best.

creative. Sounds better than the Ipod, and works with WMP... Itunes sucks, IMO.

The microsoft Zune looks pretty good, but if I had to choose one from that list, I'd go with the Creative.

creative hands down...only thing it does not have is that fag-cool-iSheep factor.
radio,check
wma, check
no iTunes but drag and drop, check
external HDD usabilty (it is 30GB afterall), check
voice recorder, check
iPod has none of this (radio is 50bux and external / bulky)
but, the iPod WILL come with a guarantee that all teh iPod crowd will not think you are retarded; because if you can watch a movie anywhere you really shouldnt be a ble to listen to radio which actually already is everywhere, right steve?

I love my Vision M...just you need wmp 10 to view it in Windows Explorer....
(Using an invisible skin, the one piece doesn't go on well).

I bought an ipod because it does everything I need (plays videos and music) and I like using a scroll wheel to scroll through songs instead of up/down arrows. Looking back on my purchase, I probably should have gotten something with better sound quality, since the ipod's is pretty terrible.

My friend has the Creative Zen Vision: M 30GB Black exactly. I have used it a number of times and find it farrrr superior to any of the iPods I have used. It's feature list is much longer and its price is quite reasonable. From what I have read the Toshiba Gigabeat S30 30GB is not a good option, it costs too much and isn't all that impressive but I have never actually used one.
ANP !!!

Thnx Guys For the Replies :)..
My friend got a Ipod Video 30gb couple of days ago, n i used it for 2 hrs, well the Sound Quality was good (Since i have never really heard any MP3 Players, this was the first HDD based Player i have heard), the Build quality was good as well, but I found the Keys a bit hard to press. But from wht i have heard the Creative Vision is a bit better then the Ipod, but again i have never heard it. I will try to borrow the Ipod for some more time, so i can kno the goods n the bads of it. :)
wtf do you want to watch video on ur mp3 player? I can understand why people want radio, but me i dont want that either.
All i want is a small mp3 player with good storage capacity and battery life.
So ipod nano 8gb is what suits me best. 8gb is okay i can live with that considering its small size and nice battery life (20h++) it could had a black and white(blue) screen like 4g or something if it got me an hour or 2 more...
Cant get myself to buy creative, tried the zen micro alot and its just so bad in everyway. cant even play for 10hours, more like 6 or so. Its hard to use and its slow and even locks up and stuff. Piece of crap.
Oh look at that thosiba, eats battery for for breakfast, lunch and dinner. No thanks.
Havent tried sony though, looks ok...

Radio sucks. Watching video on your AUDIO PLAYER makes no sense. I'd go with the ipod. I personally like itunes, interface is nice, well made, and looks pretty good. The dock can be used as a line out to an amp if you're into that.
ANP !!!
